Oh I do too Dawn!!! I remember driving down old country roads in Tennessee and Kentucky. I took oodles of pictures of country barns, and farm houses. We also happened upon a sign that read “quilts for sale” and you know I had my Daddy steer that rental car down that road!! There sat an old man in a rocking chair, out front of his red barn garage. He was selling the quilts his deceased wife had made. I felt badly buying any, but I bought two!!! They are prized to me!!!! What a trip that was!!

I just love old red barns too. There is a farm place on my way to my in-laws house, there are a whole bunch of red barns all different sizes; I just love them!

    Thanks for sharing!

Great photos, Dawn. Some of these would be great framed. So would some of those great porches with the wonderful rocking chairs. I love all that stuff.

I’m with you on this one Dawn, I love barns too and always appreciate the RED ones the best. I’ll think of you as I head south next month when I see a red barn, thanks for sharing your favorites.

I love the different structures! The old, rundown ones are the barns I like, but I guess they are not really practical except for a picture 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful photos, Dawn! That barn with the barn quilt is particularly stunning. The farmer down the road from us leveled one of his barns last year–a red one, in fact–and I was sad to see that dilapidated structure gone. There is something very iconic about the way those barns cut a silhouette in the landscape.
