Garden Produce

“Peas”
The first vegetable ready to pick in the garden this year is
Sugar Snap Peas.
I caught my Hubby out there eating them right from the vine.

Can’t wait to make a meal of them.

  1. My first harvest of peas, we ate young and tender with dips, and straight off the vine. My second harvest of peas, I let mature, and then used the fresh sweet peas, removed from their pods, in fresh salads and such. My third plantings of peas are on the vine now…I am munching on some, and will let some mature and use again in salads and pastas. I love them. These may be my favorite thing in the garden!!!!!
    Yours look great!!!!!
    Enjoy!

  2. Coming from the Garden State, I adore fresh produce in the Summertime. My fave is cucumber salad with plum tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Yum!!

  3. How pretty (and yummy!) The green beans are coming in well here and I’ve picked enough cukes to make 4 quarts of dill refrigerator pickle spears so far! The squash and zucchini look like they’ll be ready to pick soon. Now, if I can just keep on top of the watering because it’s been 105 for a few days now, things will be good. Isn’t gardening fun?!

  4. Don’t you love eating food you’ve grown yourself? I didn’t get peas in the ground early enough so I’ll miss having them. But our tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, and carrots are doing great. We’re also trying Butternut Squash this year for the first time.
