Here I go heaping more onto my plate… Do you ever feel like you make more work for yourself sometimes???

Me and my Bestie went to the Shipshewanna Flea Market and I couldn’t resist purchasing enough fabric to make myself a King size quilt.

I love the vintage replica fabric that Moda has.

I want to do a simple pattern that won’t require lots of intricate piecingI have made several quilts over the years, but this time I want to keep it simple.

I plan on making this a Winter project.  Must be all this heat has me longing for curling up under a quilt and sewing.

I was going to ask what you found at Shipshey and by the looks of this it seems you did very well! Make sure you keep us up to date on the progress. Your fabric choices look like they’ll make a welcoming quilt for the winter.

Hi Dawn! I love your fabric choices. I am always buying fabric with no idea what I will do with it-at least you have a plan. It is hot here in upstate NY and oddly enough, I find myself looking at my fireplace and thinking of cozy fireside activities. A quilt sounds good!

Oooh, I love your fabrics, & that sounds like a wonderful winter project. At least a good winter project in your neck-of-the-woods. I’m currently working on some quilts I hope to have finished for Christmas gifts. Talk about piling your plate high, & I keep “PINNING” stuff! What’s up with that?

Gorgeous fabrics. I too have a winter quilting project; but mine came with a bit of an advantage — mostly put together and some of it quilted; I just need to add some extra fabric and batting to make it into a bed-sized quilt.
