Vintage Dustpan gets a Makeover

Remember that green vintage dust pan I purchased when my Bestie and me went out Junkin’??
Here’s how it was re purposed, I am using it to hold my hand towels
in the main floor bathroom.
I like every guest to have their own hand towel for sanitary reasons.
So I thought this would make a unique way to hold them.
I didn’t change the color at all, but I did give it a good scrubbing with a brush and several coats of clear spray paint.
After that had dried, I used my Silhouette machine to cut out the vinyl, chalkboard sticker.  Transferred it across the front and got out my chalk.
I am loving it’s new use.

As a germaphobe I am obsessed with individual hand towels. This is a beautiful way to display them.

Fabulous use for the dustpan, I love the color and I’m glad you did not change it. I’ve been thinking about individual hand towels for our powder room, you’ve inspired me to move forward with that project. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Oh I love it Dawn! I love to use things in unintended ways! I have an antique boat ladder that I used for all of my cookbooks in the kitchen! I use an antique canning lifter to hold a bottle of wine, etc. Love how your dustpan looks in the bathroom!!!
