Flower and Sculpture Garden Tour {Part 2}
Today we are completing our visit of Mary and Ken’s Flower and Sculpture Garden Tour if you missed part 1 you can see it here. I had such a hard time narrowing down what I would share with you. If you are ever in need of inspiration look around your city or town and see what other talented people are doing. Fresh ideas are always out there for you to see and don’t be afraid to ask a a fellow gardener to take a stroll through their flowers, you will be amazed at how many new ideas will pop into your head. This extraordinary place that I visited should be on the Better Homes & Garden Tour for sure. Now grab your coffee, put your feet up, and be prepared to see some amazing flowers and sculptures.
If you remember from yesterdays tour I showed you a birdhouse hanging on the side of one of the cottages, well here is another made by their son. He makes one a year for his parents and they proudly display them around the property. This one reminds me of an old beehive made by paper wasps.
Cleome is an annual flower, but if left to go to seed will reproduce the following year. It is such an intricate flower with all its different protrusions, making it quite interesting to look at.
Here’s a mix off all the different colors and textures all in one place. Everything seems to flow so naturally, and blend in with it’s surroundings.
Sculpture, Art, or a little bit of both? The bright colored beads set off the rusty metal and when the sunlight hits the beads it is magical.
I often wonder why some people just have an eye for art and gardening. These two are so creative and are such an inspiration they made me want to come home and get busy adding some art to my garden.
For instance, look at these beautiful, blue, hand blown glass sculptures. Now how does someone think that up? I’m not sure I am creative enough to visualize this type of art. They look so out of this world, and remind me of some space creature coming up out of the earth. These two people are just brilliant.
And yet another fabulous idea. I didn’t think to ask, but I assume these are old glass lamp bases slid onto rebar to make the totem pole art. I certainly need to get out more and start collecting some glass pieces to make one of these for my own garden.
The clear glass piece here in the garden are lit up at night with solar lights that make them glow. I bet it is beautiful next to the black-eyed susan’s and white phlox.

I just had to return for the second part of the tour. I see lots of things that I have similar in my gardens … the totems, the items to give height in various spots and a collection of birdhouses. I have really enjoyed touring this garden and I’m sure it would be wonderful to tour in person.

Oh my gosh. I can’t even imagine actually living among these gardens. What a treasure! I think my favorite thing is the glass vase sculpture. I would have never thought of that but it’s amazing! Thank you for the tour…Ann

Besides all the beautiful flowers of course, I love that there are little surprises along the way!

Wow…what cool ideas! The stacked glass globes of different colors and shapes are fabulous! I love the hand blown blue glass worms….and the clear glass pieces that are solar lit….wow, wow…wow!!!

Brenda, I knew you would enjoy the flowers. When you hover you can hit the pin button if you want to pin, but they go dark so my photos can’t be taken. The only option you will have is to pin it.

I really need the serenity of this fabulous garden today! I woke up this morning with a terribly stiff and sore neck and have more to do than hours in my day. What a beautiful reminder that God is in control… nature is his handiwork! You brought me so much peace today.

Saw your reply to Brenda and was wondering the same thing. So if someone wanted to use your photos in a round-up post they wouldn’t be able to – I get quite a bit of traffic from that kind of referral.
