$1 Fall Table Setting

I want to start off by thanking everyone for the prayers sent up for my Grandma. She came home from the hospital yesterday with an increase of meds that seems to be working, we were so thankful she didn’t have to have any surgery. She did have 3 mini strokes before they got everything under control but there seems to be no lasting affects, thank God. I appreciate all the comments and everyones concerns. Now on to the $1 Fall Table Setting.

Fall Table with Gingham Runner

I know I say this all the time and you’re going to hear it again, “You can put together a table setting with thing you already have.” There is no need to go out and buy something new every time an event or holiday rolls around. Today I did just that…I wanted something for fall without having to purchase expensive items, so digging through the cupboards began. I knew I wanted to use the black and white fabric as a runner, as it matched the curtains in the kitchen and from there I just started layering dishes that contained fall colors.

Fall Place Setting Items

First came the cream dinner plates from Target, then I added the salad plates from Pier One, next red and white dish towels were used as napkins all topped with a mini pumpkin and red handled flatware.

The tree branches are real and cut from one of our maple trees. I love how bright the leaves are and decided to show them off in a glass pitcher. The only money spent was the $1 for 5 mini pumpkins.

Fall Table Setting

I say that is a pretty cheap fall table setting. I love it when I can use what I have and achieve the look I am going for. Don’t be afraid to use things in nature as a centerpiece, even weeds look great stuck in amongst branches and wildflowers. Your guest will find you quite creative.

We have a high school football game tonight and it looks like I will be wearing my heated coat, I think winter is sneaking up on us here in the north. Weather predictions are even calling for some snow this weekend. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, no matter what your weather is like.
