Buffalo Check Fabric
I have had several people ask me where I purchase my “Buffalo Check” fabric from and I thought the easiest way to reach all of you was to do a post with links to the fabric.
Everything came from Fabric.com, I love that they have fast shipping and it comes on a nice long roll no folded fabric with creases in it. The “Red and White” buffalo check is my favorite to use for summer, it reminds me of a picnic. I purchased enough of this to make bedroom curtains, living room curtains, and a table cloth. You can’t beat their prices, and another trick of mine is save the fabric roll and when you change out the curtains just roll the old ones on the bolt to store.
The “Yellow and White” buffalo check is so bright and cheery in our master bedroom, I normally use these in late Summer into Fall, it extends the warmth of Summer just a little bit longer. This color is on sale right now for $2.49 a yard, if yellow is your color now is the time to snatch it up.
While you’re shopping you better pick up the “Black and White” buffalo check too, it’s also on sale for $2.49 a yard. I wouldn’t hesitate in making a purchase there are limited amounts of yardage available. I think I may need to pick up some new colors too while it’s on sale.

Love the buffalo check fabric especially in your cabin. It is so perfect in your home. You should be making these pretty curtains and selling them Dawn you would make a killing. These type curtains are hard to come by and we who cannot sew would love to find people like you that can. Your buffalo check drapes are beautiful.

Dawn, I think you may have a build in market for your buffalo check curtains! I have ordered a number of fabrics from Fabric.com and I have always been pleased with the quality and service. I like that I can use Paypal to pay for it, too. Makes it very convenient for ordering! 🙂

I was looking online for some Buffalo check fabric and came across your blog! What a lovely set of curtains you have! I’m hoping to replicate the look with red for our sliding glass doors. Do you recall how many yards you had to buy of the red? I may wait for a sale as the prices are not sale prices right now. 🙁 Thanks in advance!
Mary I always purchase 11 yards at a time, that’s what it take to make two pair that are floor length for my windows.
Hi Dawn, I live in Canada and have been searching for the large red and white buffalo checks for my dining windows for some time. I am so happy to see they really do exist, thanks for the post :~) I don’t mind paying the exchange rate but the border gouges you on taxes and border crossings as well. :~(. Do you have any idea where I might find the very same material up here?
