I even discovered our cat, Pirate Morgan Moon Scar, loves it. She seems to have the nose for mint and comes running when she catches a whiff of it. I normally catch her trying to drink out of my mason jar, so I have now learned to just make a bowl up for her while I am making mine or I am continuously fighting the cat for my drink.

What you need:

  • Container with a lid
  • Drinking Water
  • Ice
  • Mint leaves

Place all the ingredients into the contain, put the lid on, and give it a good shake. The ice will bruise the mint leaves enough to release the oil and flavor the water, add a straw and sip away (you can also use the mint in the same way with iced tea). Simple, refreshing summer pick me up. What could be easier?

Catnip is in the mint family. I bet that is why she likes your mint so much.

Ann I have discovered she loves green tea and raspberry water too. Guess she’s not a picky cat when it comes to drinking. LOL

Refreshing mint water … I’ve planted some new mint plants this year. I also like to freeze the mint leaves right into the ice cube to add to water. Our cat loves water and will magically appear whenever a glass is around and she dunks her paw into it and then licks her paw!! She has bowls of water all over the house but prefers it in a glass … guess I better make her one when I have mine ๐Ÿ™‚
