Christmas Entry Way Using Clippings From Your Tree | Don't Have the Nursery Trim Your Christmas Tree, Do it When You Get Home and Use the Branches to Create a Stunning Entry Way Display | creativecaincabin.comWhen you head out to cut your Christmas tree this year don’t have the nursery trim the lower branches off. Bring the tree home and do it yourself, it’s free pine boughs that you can make wreaths, swags, or arrangements with.

They use the trimmings to make the wreaths they sell, but I always like to do it when I get home. I’m always in need of some greenery for Christmas decor.

They work perfect for a small pine tree clipping arrangement.

Yesterday a store had 6 ft trees on for $20.00 and I said it would be cheaper to buy a tree and cut it up for wreaths etc than buying a store bought wreath for the same price. You wold get way more decorations from a whole tree. There I am being thrifty again ๐Ÿ™‚

Linda I agree and that would be a fun project too. You are so crafty you would come up with several ideas on how to use them.

Oh my gosh I love this. Since I don’t get a real tree I usually clip my fresh greenery from my Dad’s pine trees in his back yard. I don’t have a single one. Darling printable too!

Ann so nice you can get some fresh pin from your Dad. We have several pines on our property so I trim whenever I need them.

Carol, I always love getting our tree right after Thanksgiving but now just to find the time to decorate it.

These ideas are so perfect for the holidays. I love the smell of the pine throughout the house too. We are hosting a collection of Holiday Best at Tumbleweed Contessa. I’d love it if you share this with us.

Great idea Dawn. I am using some fresh greens I got from outside for some of my decor. My tree is artificial so I love to have the natural Christmas tree smell so the fresh greens throughout my decor are great. Love your entry way. So sweet.

Hi Dawndie! Oh, this is so pretty! We haven’t had a ‘real’ tree in about 35 years! ๐Ÿ™‚ So I might get in trouble if I wandered into the neighbor’s yard and started clipping ! ๐Ÿ™‚ Your photos are magazine worthy! Thanks for popping in to see me.
    Be a sweetie,

our Lowe’s store offers all their trimmings for free. They usually have a big box you can sort through. Just picked some up today!

Wow Arlene, what a great tip. I will check ours out and see if they offer the same things. Thanks for the heads up. ๐Ÿ™‚
