I decided the guest bathroom needed a little pick me up in anticipation of Spring. I didn’t want to spend a lot but I did want it to look fresh and new.
While browsing Wayfair’s site I spotted the Ruffled Shower Curtain and couldn’t pass it up. It’s $20 price tag drew me in, and that’s how the whole update started.
Then I decided to shop the house for accessories. I found the chamber pot on my porch and decided it would make a fun trash can, and quite fitting too, so in it came.
The enamelware oversized cup is from my dad, I’m not sure of it’s original purpose so if you know fill me in, but for now it’s used for hand towels. And I added the melamine plate as a trey for a pop of color.
The mason jars (straight out of the kitchen cupboard) work great for holding bathroom things, and I made the forsythia wreath. I also found 2 yards of white eyelet material in my stash so it quickly became a no sew curtain.
I don’t have a fancy soap dispenser so I disguised the plastic one by dropping it into a pretty yellow vase. More on the vase in a later post (also homemade).
So for $20 I’m loving it and at least it looks like Spring inside.
