Easy Hamburger Bun Recipe | Try it Next Time You Grill Burgers | CreativeCainCabin.comFor us here in the north it’s time to break out the grill, and whip up some hearty burgers for a welcomed picnic. We’ve all survived the horrific cold and snow and look forward to some summertime food. We’ve had 48 degree days, which is a heat wave here and soon the snow will all be gone. That sounds lovely right? On the downside it means mud so I’m a slave to the mop until it dries up, good thing I have wood floors.

If you remember my post from Sunday I mentioned I make my own hamburger buns and I had requests for the recipe. It’s a very easy recipe to make and we like them better than store bought any day. So if you’re looking to make your own, this is easy to follow with no fancy ingredients.

Give them a try next time you decide to grill burgers!

  1. 2 T Active Dry Yeast
  2. 1 C plus 2 tsp Warm Water
  3. 1/3 C Vegetable Oil
  4. 1/8-1/4 C Sugar ( I prefer 1/4 C)
  5. 1 Farm Fresh Egg
  6. 3 C Flour (add up to 1/2 more if dough is sticky)
  1. I use my Kitchen Aid mixer for this: Add yeast, and warm water to dough bowl until yeast is dissolved. Add sugar and oil. Let stand for 5 minutes. Add egg, salt, flour (if dough is sticky add additional flour). Place the dough hook on the mixer and knead for 3-5 minutes. Roll dough into a log and divide into 10-12 equal pieces. Shape into buns and place on a greased baking sheet. Cover with a towel and let stand for 10 minutes. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 8-12 minutes. Let cool on a wire wrack. Cut and serve.

Love your blog, you are so creative. I can tell you so love what you are doing. I feel the same about my blog. I was wondering about your logo. Did you have someone come up with the design. I would love to hire a person to create one for me and my blog. I have lots of ideas but unable to design it. Thank you.

There is nothing better, in my opinion, than home baked bread. These look amazing and so easy. I grill hamburgers about once a week in the summer so will definitely be trying this. Have a good weekend Dawn! ๐Ÿ™‚
