Rustic Thanksgiving Table

Rustic Thanksgiving Table Using Natural ElementsAs I stared at the ceiling one night while in bed, I was planning out my Thanksgiving table in my head. I knew I didn’t want to do any shopping so the things would need to be from around the house, and things I already owned. I mapped it all out in my head and this is what I came up with.

Rustic Thanksgiving Table Using Natural ElementsI started layering, first the orange table runner that was already in place for fall anyway, next I added a little height with my glass cake stand and topped it with some faux fern leaves and a faux white pumpkin. All very simple and rustic but I was liking it.

Ok, it was plain and simple but didn’t quite do it for me so I looked around the house and came up with the wood slices and tiny pumpkins off the deck. Now It was looking better. With the addition of a drinking glass and chocolate napkin I was perfectly happy to call it good.

Rustic Thanksgiving Table Using Natural ElementsI love all the Thankgiving table with glitter and glitz but it’s just not me. The simple rustic look suits me and my house better, as well as my guests.

So if you’re ever having trouble sleeping you may as well use the time and decorate your space. It worked for me and I even remembered it in the morning. Does anyone else go for a easy simple look for Thanksgiving?

    1. Shelia it sure was easy and inexpensive, just the way I like it. Sometimes less if more for me.

    1. Jennifer I agree it’s hard to look over a big centerpiece or look around one to talk with people.

  2. Hi. Dawn your table looks so simple and pretty. I always like to use the turkey and trimmings as the star of the table, then just simple decor to fill in with. Again your style is most pleasing to the eye and I hope you and yours have a very pleasant Sunday.

    1. Joy that sound like a good way. I’ve never thought of using the turkey. Brilliant idea ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Kathleen it’s been in the 60’s this week but snow is coming for the weekend. I’ve been outside getting Christmas lights and greenery up before the weather takes a turn again.
