Vintage Enamelware Christmas Bowl

I didn’t go all out in my Christmas kitchen decor this year I really wanted to make it simple and stressless. On Sunday afternoon my hubby and the boys we’re out doing something that men do so I decided to do a little tree clipping and pinecone gathering to put together something festive in my vintage enamelware bowl.
By the way I’m crushing on the color of the vintage bowl, I’ve never seen one in this shade of green. If you follow Fixer Upper and have ever used their paints the bowl matches the paint color “Magnolia” perfectly. I have a few pieces painted that color in our home so the bowl fit in perfectly.
I seem to always have the crate filled with cutting boards on my counter and I just swap out the dinner plates to fit the season, holiday, or occasion. I’m a dish hoarder I have them in every color I think and I only use them for decor purposes and holidays. We use the old tried and true Corelle year round. I know many people don’t like them and think there ugly, but I like that they come in basic white and are unbreakable, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe. What more could a gal ask for? Especially one that lives with all men!
See those wooden spoons? I have a little vintage wooden spoon addiction. I find them just adorable and can’t seem to pass them up in antique shops. I’ll be back soon to tell you how I clean them up and care for them so they’ll be used and loved for years to come.

Kathleen the bowl is a color I’ve never seen before and I have a lot of enamelware pieces.
Wonderful bowl!! I love dishes, too…I’ve told myself that I can’t buy any more and am enjoying what I have. White plates are versatile and mostly what I use, but I do use the blue enamelware and red melamine occasionally. I’m keeping my decor simple too this year, with a focus on Winter so that I won’t have to remove everything. As always you are a great inspiration for me, Dawn.
Jen, I think the older I get the easier I like things to be so simple decorating is my motto. Now if life in general would just get simpler.
I have a vintage roaster pan in just that same color!
Karen I’d love to see your roaster pan and I’m glad to hear someone else has something in that color. Sometimes I wonder if things have been painted over the years but I guess this is a true enamelware color!
