MY NEW LOVE ARTIST SIGNED POTTERY PIECES
Iโm in a mood, a mood to change things up with one-of-a-kind, artist signed, thrifted pottery finds. I havenโt purchased anything new for our home in forever. Iโve reworked and reused things Iโve had hanging around for quite some time and honestly Iโm tired of it all.
I knew I was going towards a different style when I started collecting artist signed pottery in dark mood tones. The longer I thrifted the more I started realizing I had a THING for these hand crafted pieces and I find amazing deals on them at thrift stores.ย
The amount of time and effort it took someone to hand make these pieces really got me thinking and enjoying each new piece I stumbled upon. Now I realized I havenโt found any famous artist signed pieces but I have found things that really tell a story and make decorating exciting again.ย
My intentions are to make some changes to our home but to only find things second hand other than the curtains I’m replacing. I just canโt find the number of panels that match the amount I need for our home.ย
Whenever Iโm in a new town I hit all the thrift stores to see what I can find. I quite enjoy the thrill of the hunt and get excited when I come out with a new/vintage piece.ย
I’m sharing with you part of my collection so you can get an idea of what I’ve been collecting and my next post will be sharing with you the first area I’m decorating with these pottery pieces, so stay tuned for that.
They’re gorgeous, Dawn – can’t wait to see how you’re decorating with them.
Those pieces are really neat! I wish thrift shops in my area had gems like this. Happy hunting!
Love the pottery. Especially the chicken. And itโs nice knowing each piece is unique. Happy decorating and canโt wait to see how you use it.
Next time you’re in Owosso, we have a nice Volunteers of America thrift store that may be holding some special treasures just for you!
Nice collection!
