Barn Light on the Cheap

Our $34 Barn Lights.

I love the look of barn lights used as exterior lighting on a home.  I found the ones I really wanted, but when I looked at the price tag I about tipped over.
$400 dollars, well that wasn’t in my budget so I had to get a little creative.

I purchased 2 light kits in hopes Hubby could merge the two and make one light similar to the expensive light.

Sure enough, he did it and I love them.  It was such a huge savings, we had 5 outside lights that needed to be changed.

My favorite feature is the cage over the bulb.
So glad I have a smart Hubby that can do anything.

We are building a house right now and my brother is making me the same thing!!! 2 cheap lights from menards and he’s putting together – but he is also a welder/fabricator so he is making me large goosenecks for even more character! I’m so happy to see yours done cause they look great! love the character of the barn lights!

Dawn, thank you for the great idea. Because of this, I purchased some lights for a large project, but am unsure of how to attach the cage lights to the barn light? How did you husband do it?

    Thank you
