Buttery Yellow gone Turquoise
Here is was my beautiful, buttery yellow, quilt used in our master bedroom.
I loved it until our cat decided to vomit several times in the middle of our bed, on top of the quilt.
So, I had no other choice but to bleach it to remove the stains.
Now it’s no longer a buttery yellow, nor is it white. It was just blah.
I had the brilliant idea to give it a makeover. Turning “drab to fab.”
Here’s what I did.
Purchased 2 boxes of Royal Blue Rit Dye and a local quilt shop donated 2 boxes of Kelly Green.
Then went in search of a high power magnifying glass just to be able to read the instructions.
2 hours later.
“Presto – Change-o”
I now have a beautiful turquoise quilt.
What a fun and inexpensive way to get more life out of the quilt.

so pretty! what a great idea, I’m glad you were able to salvage it! It looks as good as new!
Great job you saved it from the trash and it is so much more “fun” now.

How very cool. I had never thought of that. Thanks for the tip!
