Christmas Place Setting Ideas wih Everyday Dishes

Here’s an idea of using your everyday dinnerware collection for a
Christmas table.
 I wanted to show you how many combinations you could come up with
using a few pieces.
 If you are having several guests over and you don’t have a complete matching set for everyone, this is a great way to mix and match, giving it an
eclectic feel.

 The only cohesion I followed was every place setting had a white napkin,
a pine cone, and a rosemary sprig tied with a piece of twine.

 I think your guests will find it all quite a fun combination.
 Better yet, you didn’t have to go buy new holiday dishes.

 All the dinner plates are from Target.

 The salad plates are a mix from Pier One, and Thrifted.

 I also love the look of using bright red flatware.

 I hope this gives you some creative ideas on how to use your everyday dishes this holiday season.

 Have fun with what you have.

    I agree. Besides, I wouldn’t have room for dishes just for Christmas. Very pretty combos!

    These are just wonderful, Dawn! I have some of those bird plates, but always reserve them for Spring and Summer. I’m pulling them out to use in our Christmas settings — I’m thrilled to have this great new idea. Thank you!

    This is just fabulous Dawn and being a dishaholic myself I think I could round up enough to make a table similar to yours. Thanks for the great idea!

    Hi Dawn, this is my first visit to your blog. I just love the photo with all the dishes, very clever. And what a great idea! You’re right, no need to go out and get all Christmas themed dishes, when you can make due with what you have. I like the little pine cone and sprig of rosemary. It’s so simple but really all you need to say “Christmas” at your table. So glad to find you!
