Christmas Tree Art Using Washi Tape
Today I’m sharing with you an amazing craft book, “Washi Tape Crafts” by Amy Anderson, and it’s where I came up with the idea to create a fast and inexpensive Christmas artwork project for our master bedroom. It took no time at all to craft the fun Washi tape tree, and voila’ instant artwork.
I used a frame and mat board I had on hand, and with the 10 tape colors that came with the book I started cutting off strips of tape and positioning them on glitter paper until a tree was formed. This is a great craft to do with kids, it would be easy for them to handle and not require any skills to create something festive and fun. The book comes with step by step photo instructions for several projects to get your creative juices flowing.
And here it is on the table by my bedside. It fits in perfectly with the rest of the Christmas decor. I always enjoy fun projects like these. There’s no pressure to create a masterpiece, it’s just a simple expression of my decorating style this year. No fuss, and easy is what it’s all about for me this year. I’ve heard several other bloggers say the same. Tell me are you going all out this year with decor or are you keeping it simple?
So cute, Dawndie!
Be a sweetie,

Thank you Shelia 😛
What a super fun project!….Love it!
Shirley it would be a fun project for your Granddaughter.
As always adorable! I have been making arrangements from all the free cuttings from Christmas trees. They will give them
to you at Lowe’s and Home Depot for free. I need to figure out how to send a pic to you. Working on my tenth one this morning.
Debbie, wow you are a busy girl. Luckily I have several pines on our property so I give them a haircut every Christmas for my arrangements, lol. So much better than having to buy them.
What size frame did you use? I love this simple easy craft project. Thank you.
Valerie it’s a 11X14 with a mat to make it look like an 8X10.
I have a basket full of washi tape that I never use!
Carol you’re so creative I bet you could find several ways to use it.
Adorable. Simple, but such a wonderful graphic look!
