Colorful Vintage Kitchen Accents | CreativeCainCabin.comI’m back to show you my DIY Mason Jar Soap Dispensers along with some colorful kitchen decor using vintage things. My friend Lisa and I have hit a few antique malls here lately, so you know what that means. Lot’s of goodies to be had! I actually had a list of things I’ve been looking for and kept it in my notes on my phone, and wouldn’t you know it. I didn’t come home with a thing on my list, but I did find some cute treasures.

Colorful Vintage Kitchen Accents | CreativeCainCabin.comI found this enamelware pan that was in the most awful color of pea soup green. Well sometimes you have to look past it’s ugliness and a swan will evolve and that’s exactly what I did.  Nothing a little spray paint can’t fix. So after I beautified the piece I decided to use it for hand cloths in the kitchen and loaded it with all kinds of bright colorful towels, that came from Home Goods.

Colorful Vintage Kitchen Accents | CreativeCainCabin.comThat cute as ever chicken is a creamer, the cream pours out between its beak. It was just too adorable to pass up. I had no idea where I would use it (it may get turned into a pin cushion) but for $2 I had to have it. I also spotted the green enamelware bowl the chicken’s sitting on. It’s a color I’ve never seen before in enamelware so of course it matches my home and I had to have it too.

Colorful Vintage Kitchen Accents | CreativeCainCabin.comI had such a fun day shopping and spent very little, the best part was being with a wonderful friend. I also picked up some vintage pyrex so come back later to see that. In case you are wondering my sink is a black silgranit and you can read here how I keep it looking like new. The countertops are black concrete with exposed aggregate edges, and my hubby is the artist behind them 🙂

I love all your colorful touches.

We are reworking Steve’s kitchen right now and surprisingly, there is very little color!
