Decor Steals Design Ingenuity Event – Rustic Wall Basket Hanger {Giveaway}
It’s not quite warm enough for my herbs to be ready outside so I had the idea of turning this Rustic Wall Basket Hanger from Decor Steals into a vertical indoor herb garden.
I was excited when Decor Steals asked me to participate in their “Design Ingenuity Event” and was delighted to receive the Rustic Wall Hanger Basket….Thank you Decor Steals. You all know how rustic fits right into my log home….I wanted it to feel fresh and alive, so herbs were the best choice.
I lined each basket with burlap, some fresh potting mix, and a variety of potted herbs.
If you look close you’ll notice that I also made chalkboard plant markers, so there’s no mistake in what you’re pinching off to cook with.
I’m partnering up with Jennifer from Town and Country Living today so don’t forget to stop by her place to get another idea of how to style this basket. If you’ve never heard of or shopped at Decor Steals your missing out. They have the best home decor things at a “steal”. If you use the link to shop starting 10 am EST today you can get the Rustic Wall Hanger Basket before it’s available to the rest of the shoppers. Just a little perk their offering today just for you, but take note once they sell out they are gone.
Now on to the giveaway….Visit Decor Steals Facebook page and enter to win the featured Rustic Wall Hanging Basket and a $50 Gift Card. Love how you utilized the door basket…so beautiful and creative Dawn!
Thanks Shirley, Im trying to come up with some other ways that I can style it in my home for the summer.
I’ve also seen this done with those hanging fruit/vegetable baskets. Just got one and was going to assemble a mini herb garden myself. Great minds MUST think alike!
Tandra, yes we do….I love things that can have dual purpose and this basket will be used in several different ways in my home.
Great idea, Dawn! It looks so pretty lined with the burlap! Loved being part of this design event with you. ๐
Jennifer I so enjoyed working with you too. I hope we get picked again.
That’s a great way to use the wall hanging baskets Dawn.
Neat site they have, I see they will ship to Canada if I decided to purchase. I think it is a shame they will take Canadian orders but won’t include us in the give aways. Rules are rules, eh?
Linda I’m not sure why the giveaways do that, but there must be some reason we don’t know about.
Thanks Linda I hope you got in on the giveaway.
Great way to use that, Dawn.
Thank you Kim ๐
What a wonderful way to use the baskets, Dawn! That would be a great way to have the herbs handy to the kitchen so that you’d use them more.
Jane, you’re right I always use more if there easy accesss.
Oh my gosh I love this! What a wonderful idea. Where in the heck did you find herbs this early? I looked for basil last week and couldn’t find one single plant. ๐
Ann, do you have Meijer’s there? I find fresh potted herbs in the produce department year round there.
I love your idea to turn this into a kitchen herb garden, Dawn – it’s useful and looks so pretty at the same time!
Angie, thank you and I love cooking with fresh herbs so it will be a welcome treat while the weather get’s it’s act together and I can pick from my main garden.
Love this look. This basket could be used anywhere!!
Kim, you are right there’s so many great choices for use. I’m sure you’ll see it move around my cabin in more than one way. LOL
I love it, I have a different tiered storage basket from Decor Steals but it could be put to use like this too, I was just looking at it wondering what I wanted to plant in it! We have been having excellent Spring weather and I bought up some herbs just yesterday, now we are predicted to get a snow storm Monday. Huh?? Such is life in the mountains of N. Calif. ๐
Pamela, they are predicting snow here for the weekend too. My strawberries are starting to green up so I hope the snow doesn’t harm them.
Oh Dawn just so creative and pretty. Love this.
Kris
