Ski Rental Sign, Winter Sign, Farmhouse Sign, Christmas Sign, Typography SignI was prepared to show you the kitchen today all decorated for Christmas, but for some reason I looked up and thought to myself that “SWEET TEA” sign has to go. It looks a bit summery amongst all the Christmas stuff. I happened to have one picket left from when I made the Sweet Tea sign, and it was already painted white so I decided to use it to make something more fitting for the winter month (more fitting for Michigan anyway.)

DIY Vintage Farmhouse Kitchen Sign Made From Pickets. Complete Tutorial With Photos. Popular Pin!If you missed the earlier post on how to make these easy farmhouse style signs you can find the tutorial and material list here. It’s a very easy project to do. I actually was waiting for a friend to come over so I quickly whipped it up while I waited for her. I like the size of the sweet tea sign better but I made do with what was already around.

Ski Rental Sign, Winter Sign, Farmhouse Sign, Christmas Sign, Typography SignI think the “Ski Rental” sign fits in better for winter. It actually snowed for the first time this year while I was putting it up. We went from 70 one day to 29 and snowing the next. Ah, the joys of living in Michigan.

Perfect timing too! The red and white Christmas table with the woodsy greens is cheerful! How is your beautiful Shepherd doing?
Cloudy with a good chance of rain here. We’re finally getting our Fall temps, low 70s:).
    Have a cozy day,
    Kathleen in Az

Kathleen, wow 70’s still. It was 20 this morning when I got up. Our shepherd is moving better but will never be the same. She can’t run or do stairs anymore but surgery wouldn’t help, she’s just getting to old.

I like the sign. I think that’s a great idea to have two and switch them out for the seasons. I know what you mean about the weather. I’m in northeastern Indiana. It was 70degrees on Friday and the high Saturday was 37 with high winds and snow. It’s suppose to back up in the high 40s for Thanksgiving. If you don’t like the weather in Indiana just wait a day. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Becky same with Michigan weather it changes quickly. It’s been cold here this week, and dreary not much son. Michigan has more gloomy days than sunshine but the UP is just the opposite.

Though we did not get snow, just rain so far, it has gone from balmy and sunny to icy rain overnight. It is nearing winter so no real complaints other than it would be nice to acclimate over a couple weeks instead of being suddenly plunged into the frigid temps! Love the sign.
My snowman sign was snapped up in a day at the gallery so folks are ready for winter type designs!

Pam that snowman sign was so cute, I bet it was a hit. I’m ready for some snow that sticks around. I love winter, not the below zero temps so much but sunshine and snow are beautiful.
