Downton Abbey Season 4

Downton Abbey Season 4

Just a reminder to set your DVR’s….to record Season 4 of “Downton Abbey“, premiering January 5th. I am so anxious to watch a new season, this is the perfect show in my opinion and I can’t get enough of it. I will tape it and watch it when no one is home so I can savor every minute of it and enjoy it without interruptions. The men in in my house don’t care for this type of tv watching and would only talk  the whole time it was on, so I would rather watch when it’s convenient for me. After so many deaths last season I am curious to see where the story line will go this year…..

Six months after Downton Abbey’s great tragedy, Mary is mired in grief and the estate is engulfed in death taxes. As the family struggles to lift their financial and emotional woes, clashes arise, sparks fly, and it is up to the older generation to bring Mary back to life, and Robert to his senses โ€“ no easy task in either respect. Another departure leaves no tears in its wake, but rather opportunity for new faces โ€“ and drama, alliances, and sparks of an entirely different sort โ€“ below stairs.

As London draws Downton’s youth with its glamorous jazz clubs and sparkling literary scene, social change sweeps its way up to the venerable estate, bringing with it a threat to the continued relevance and very existence of Dowton Abbey. But neither the Crawley family nor its servants can anticipate a dire new threat that penetrates the Abbey’s ancestral walls, buttressed as they are by loyalty and love.

Amidst dark secrets, budding romances and surprising revelations, Downton Abbey returns with a gripping fourth season starring Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Shirley MacLaine, Paul Giamatti and the rest of stellar cast in the award-winning series from Julian Fellowes. 1. Shelia, I heard they had to kill actors off due to them wanting out of the role it was an unexpected turn for the writers also, it wasn’t in the original script.

  8. Hello, new to your blog! If you are a Downton fan you might want to look at my blog, as I volunteer at the house that was used as Grantham House in what will be the last episode of the season, and you might find it interesting. The picture of the cast in front of the green fabric covered wall with the big painting behind is in the house where I work – Basildon Park. I am not a spammer, I am a real blogger, just thought you might be interested! I am following your blog now and hope that you will be able to pop over to me – just look for Basildon Park posts. xx
