I admire you so much for moving forward with this, Dawn. You are such a dedicated, hard working and enthusiastic person, I know you will do very well. We’ll never have enough teachers that have a real connection with the students ~ it’s a wonderful gift that you have!
JoAnne thank you so much for the kind words I sure hope I make a difference in someones life.
Great post Dawn, I posted mine for Kaplan on Monday.
Olive I can’t wait to read your journey.
Yes, the whole online course thing is new to us – I haven’t done that either. But it is so much more convenient and will, I’m sure, be stimulating and exciting! Proud of you, my friend.
xo
Claudia
Claudia, I will save a ton in gas just being able to sit home and I can also do it on my own time frame.
Dawn – kuddos to you for jumping into this new adventure! I have longed to do something similar but the financing has always held me back…I shall live vicariously through you, be sure to keep us posted as you proceed!
Cheryl the finances do seem to be a problem, I actually put off starting a semester because there was more free money available if I did, It seemed to be all about the timing to get the most funds.
Dawn, since you’ve tackled blogging, photography, and graphic work, you should find those online classes a breeze! You will definitely have to blog about your progress as you undertake this new venture!
Jane I will definitely be posting about it.
Congratulations on your decision to go back to school! From what I’ve heard from both my son and a friend who took some online classes, they can be tougher than being in a classroom. Good luck in your new venture!
Melanie thanks for the warning on the classes being harder, I may have to rethink taking them all on line.
Dawn,
You will love this new journey in life. I can so see you spreading wisdom on all the kids you teach. It is never too late to start anything that will fulfill you. Congrats and I am so excited for you.
Kris
Kris Im not sure if I have much wisdom, but I do have a desire to see each one of them succeed and not slip through the cracks, and that seems to be a problem in our local school system.
In January I will be heading to college as well. Good luck!
Good for you!! How exciting to start this new venture in your life 🙂
Susan
Thank you Susan I am anxious to get started.
So fun AJ what will you be studying?
Well a long time ago, before kids, after I got my first degree, I decided to take classes in Office Systems. I was tired of cranky receptionists. If I could give smiles and be kind, maybe that would make a difference in someone’s day. I took a handful of credits about 12 years ago, then I had my children. They are all in school now so it is time to get back at it.
AJ, I know how you feel, it is so hard to get back at the classes but I think it will be rewarding in the end.
Dawn… YOU GO GIRL!!! I am thrilled for you. Those kids you will teach are go lucky!!!! I will be praying for you. I know you will be the best teacher! I was a teacher for years… but I taught first grade. Good teachers are worth their weight in gold!!!! So happy for you!
Yvonne, I didn’t know you were a teacher. How wonderful. I sure hope I can handle high school kids they are so different now.
Dawn, you sound so very excited on this new journey you are about to begin and with the support of your wonderful family, you will be so very successful!…Good for you!
Thank you Shirley who would ever think of doing this so late in the game? I hope it all works out!!
You GO girl!
Thank Char, glad to see you’re still out there. I haven’t seen a post from you recently are you still blogging?
Good for you! Good luck with your new adventure!
Merry Christmas!
Pam
Thank you Pam, I am looking forward to it.
