Pumpkin and Flower Centerpiece

I want to show you how you can incorporate a little Faux into your Fall Centerpiece. Sometimes it’s not always possible to have fresh flowers around and once in a while I have to resort to the next best thing. This Fall Centerpiece took all of 2 minutes to construct. I like something seasonal on the dining room table and I have found some faux flowers from Hobby Lobby that I really like, so why not use them? I started with a vintage grain sack runner, added a galvanized sap bucket full of flowers, and the final touch is the faux pumpkin that my Mom gifted me.

Fall Flowers

Not everything you create has to be a masterpiece, sometimes simple is better. This little number will carry me all the way through Thanksgiving, all I will need to do to give it a new look is add a burlap or gingham bow around the bucket. I think for faux flowers these look pretty darn good. I think the trick is to buy good quality, the ones from the dollar store just won’t due.

Fall Faux Flower Centerpiece

Do you sneak a few fake flowers into your design scheme ever? Sometimes it just has to be done, and in the long run I think you will enjoy not having to change out an arrangement to quickly. Take a wander around a craft store and see if you can find any fabulous fakes for fall.  Here’s a couple more ideas for fall “Fall Junk Mantel”, and a “Way to use Sunflowers”.

Pretty arrangement Dawn, good fakes are priceless. You can use them until you get tired of them and they look good too.

Karen, I agree you have to get the good one to make it believable, and that’s exactly what I do, use them for a few seasons then pitch them.

It is simply adorable, Dawn! And I love that unusual pumpkin your mom got you too. I am going to have to use faux this year due to my asthma. I would love to get to Hobby Lobby, but just can’t get out till it cools off considerably.

Brenda, you need to be here if you want cool. It is in the low 50’s today and supposed to frost overnight. It is finally feeling like football weather.
