Franklin Tennessee Mini Vacation

Hubby and I decided to do a 4 day mini vacation once a month and here is our first stop.
Franklin Tennessee.  We arrived Friday night about 5 pm and had just enough time to hit some antique shops before they closed.
If it’s in style for home decor this town has it.
Everything was beautifully displayed and you could look for hours in one store.
Many places had one of a kind items.
I took photos in the shops that allowed it.

I found so many things I would love to have.
But nothing I would let myself buy.
The prices were very high, but we had a great time.
Thanks to everyone who directed us to Franklin, and stay tuned for the rest of our weekend.

What fun. Do men know how them going along to antique stores turns us on!!!!!! That’s right up there with clearing the table without being asked.

I would bring that cabinet home, label every single drawer with something, but only really keep stuff in the top row or two. It would take too long for me to find which drawer I was looking for if I really had things in each of them.

I’m in love with the aqua glass. I have a few small pieces but would love some bigger ones. The prices are a little shocking. :o) I’ve been to Franklin but not to shop. My SIL lives in Nashville. Next visit I need to carve out time to shop! Can’t wait to see what else you discovered.

Dawn! Glad you had a nice time in my hometown! :)) You know, I guess our prices here are indeed high….then you put our hefty sales tax on top of it and, well, yeah….I can see that! (fortunately (or unfortunately) I’ve never known any different!
My cousin got married at Carnton….it was gorgeous. Actually, MANY of my cousins have had their weddings at historic plantations/mansions in our area. If you head back this way I’ll give you some more ideas of places to go :))

I’m sorry to hear that the prices there are high. My husband and I are planning a trip to Franklin next month but it won’t be a wasted trip, we are going to see our son who is stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. So glad that you and your husband had a good time. Thanks for sharing about your trip and have a wonderful day, Gail
