Colorful Bedroom Decor | Jeweled Damask Quitl |Reversible Quilt | CreativeCainCabin.comI’m back, as promised to show you the flip side of the Jeweled Damask Quilt by BHG. The reverse side is a pretty repeated turquoise pattern, that works with everything. I used a vintage quilt and a modern bird pillow and it all looks great together.

1 Quilt 2 Looks | Colorful Bedroom Decor | Jeweled Damask Quitl |Reversible Quilt | CreativeCainCabin.com

If you missed what it looked like on the Damask side you can revisit that post to see more photos. I’m writing this post with our generator running, yesterday at 10 am the power went out and it’s 7:30 pm and we still have no power. We didn’t even have a storm, just lots of rain and it’s cold enough here that we need to run the heat.

Colorful Bedroom Decor | Jeweled Damask Quitl |Reversible Quilt | CreativeCainCabin.comYes, you read that right, we need the heat here in good ole Michigan. Believe it or not I still have the electric blanket on the bed, and I’ll be using it tonight. For the last three years, we’ve had a non existent summer, only using the air about 3 days and several nights needing the windows closed. I guess the whole world is having strange weather patterns, why shouldn’t Michigan. I’m so thankful to have a generator and a hubby that can hook it all up.

Colorful Bedroom Decor | Jeweled Damask Quitl |Reversible Quilt | CreativeCainCabin.comNow back to the bedroom…..I added another piece of artwork from when my son was 7, this one is of a cow. I think he did pretty good for 7, but he doesn’t think so. I guess a mom always loves all their kids do.

Colorful Bedroom Decor | Jeweled Damask Quitl |Reversible Quilt | CreativeCainCabin.comI actually think I like the turquoise side for summer a little better, but I’ll definitely be flipping it back to the Damask pattern for winter, I just love all the jewel tones it has. Guess what it’s 8:00 pm and the power just came back on. Yippeeee!

Colorful Bedroom Decor | Jeweled Damask Quitl |Reversible Quilt | CreativeCainCabin.comI better round this up then and run the vacuum, turn on the dishwasher, start a load of laundry, and shower this old body. All I got away with this morning was brushing my teeth before the power went out. I was having a lazy, rainy Saturday.

Colorful Bedroom Decor | Jeweled Damask Quitl |Reversible Quilt | CreativeCainCabin.comTell me which side of the quilt is your favorite? or do you like them both like me? Have a wonderful Sunday everyone, I’m hoping the sun comes out and dries up the yard so I can mow. Don’t forget to click on the banner below and follow me on Twitter!

I like the blue calmer side better actually and that coming from someone who loves color and pattern. I like the way it goes so well with the way you styled it all. Cute artwork and wow you are still that cool. We have been so hot, but a cold front moved in last night and it is cool and low humidity so I will finish painting the deck today before the heat returns.

Kim, yes it’s crazy around here. I used my electric blanket last night and wore a coat and jeans yesterday when I went out. I like cool summers but all this rain has to go.

I love this quilt! After your first blog post I had to search my local Walmarts for the same one. I had been looking for a change for my bed and hadn’t found any thing I liked. I have it on the Damisk side right now. I found some light teal curtains at a Christmas Tree Store and bought those to match.

It’s hard to choose which one I like best Dawn. I think for summer I do like the lighter turquoise pattern.
I think it’s neat that that you framed your sons art work, it’s such a personal touch for your room!
Sorry to hear it’s so cool there. I hope the weather warms by the 4th for you.

Kim, it looks like our 4th will be warm but rain again. I’m going to need a boat before long instead of a car, everything’s flooded.

    Hi Dawn,
Wow it got chilly here but not that cold to have to put the heat on!!! This month of June for us has been crazy weather wise too.
I think it rained almost everyday this month. Hoping July will dry out and we will see some summer weather and sunshine.
Love the reverse side of this quilt. The color is so pretty. Happy new week.

Kris, it rains so much here we can never get the lawn mowed. If it’s not raining the grass is flooded making it impossible.

If I had to choose, I think for me, I would choose the turquoise side…however, love the other side too!….cannot believe that you need the heat on…..we are rejoicing here today with temps in the high 70’s/80’s after it being close to 100 for many days!….
Love the room and the beautiful pillows….and that pink and white quilt is gorgeous!…

Shirley, yes it’s been in the 50’s here at night, with overcast days so it never feels warm.

Dawn, I really like your quilt on both sides…the blue side does remind me more of summer….your weather does not sound much different than mine…our summers have been cool for sure and not nearly enough sun. This summer is turning out better than last. Last year it rained EVERY weekend and I kid you not. The temps here has only got to around 24 C which still could stand to be a lot nicer…here’s hoping for sunny, 30C weather for both of us !!

Cheryl we didn’t have much rain last year but have been extremely cool for over 3 years now. I certainly don’t have to worry about running the AC.

I have this quilt too! Because of your photo, I’ve decided to use the light turquoise side for summer. I got some pretty white shams today, but I would love to know where you found the colorful bird pillow! Share, please?

I like the damask side better but the teal is nice too. Both would be great here in California.

Do you know the name of the pattern of the pink and white quilt?

Deb I have no idea about the quilt I purchased it at an antique shop, it was originally red and white but over time it’s faded and tattered.
