Large Two Story Outdoor Birdhouse

Large outdoor two story birdhouse SCORE! on my summer to do list I had: make myself a large birdhouse to add to the old close-line pole. I’d been looking online for some simple plans but hadn’t run across the right ones yet, and I’m glad I didn’t. While hubby and I were garage saleing we stumbled upon a painted furniture sale.

Insert happy dance here, the prices were so cheap I couldn’t believe the man could be making any money for his things.

I couldn’t have made a birdhouse this size for that amount and I also fell in love with the rusted vintage hardware attached to it. I wasn’t fond of the bright lime green color, it’s not that I didn’t like the color I just didn’t feel it fit in with the outdoor cabin colors.

    1. Jeanie I used to be a bird feeder but it attracts to many mice so I quit and I miss seeing them feed.

    1. Kris, I have a hard time finding rustic birdhouses that are sturdy and big, but this one is both.

  3. Wow – what a great deal!! And it came with a ladder?!! I do love the bright green color, but am looking forward to seeing what you’ve done with it.

    1. Jen yes with the ladder can you believe what a great score that was. I ended up painting the birdhouse with a Magnolia Market color. I’m just waiting for all our guest to leave and then I’ll be able to take pics, it seems everyone is parking around it right now which doesn’t make for pretty photos.
