Microwave Valentine Rice Krispie Treat Recipe
Do you celebrate Valentines Day around your home? Generally we do not, once in a while hubby will remember and bring me flowers but other than that we skip it. But I do have a way to celebrate if you’re looking for a last minute treat for kids or your spouse that takes less than 5 minutes to whip up and can all be done in the microwave.

All you’ll need:
13 oz container of Marshmallow Crème
4 T. Butter
Sprinkles (Optional)
Food coloring (Optional)
Heart shaped cookie cutter (optional)
Colorful lollipop sticks or paper straws (optional)
Here’s what I do:
- Add the butter and Marshmallow to a large microwave safe mixing bowl. Pop in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir contents until the butter is incorporated and fully melted into the marshmallow. (Make sure and keep a close eye on microwaving the marshmallow if you leave it in to long you can burn it) If you need to pop it in for another few seconds do that, every microwave is different and the type bowl you use will also make it heat differently.
- If you’re adding food coloring do it now and use your discretion. If you use a lot of red it will be red, if you use a little it will be pink. Just go with the color that you like.
- Stir in the cereal 2 cups at a time along with the sprinkles if you’re using those, again use as many or as few as you’d like. Continue adding the cereal until it’s all incorporated.
- Spread out on a baking sheet with low sides, you can add parchment paper before adding the mixture, it is easier when it comes to cutting the shapes. Let cool for 1 hour.
- Cut heart shapes.
- Add lollipop sticks.
- Enjoy!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY EVERYONE!

Cute idea!
We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day either – it’s the little thing all year long.
Carol just when I say we don’t either hubby takes me to an expensive restaurant that overlooks the lake for dinner. I spoke too soon.
