A Morning’s Walk
Today I thought I would share with you some images from my morning walk. For years I have been walking our dog every morning as soon as it’s daylight and I thought you may enjoy some scenery from a walk along a dirt country road.
Lately it has been very crisp when I take my walk, in the low 30’s, sweatshirt weather for sure. I am blessed to have my Mom and step Dad to walk with all summer long. They live in our guest home during the warm months and retreat south when falls cool days rest upon us. It makes it so much more enjoyable to walk with family. This will be our last week as they will be heading south, it is getting to cold here for my step Dad’s knees. They will be missed, but I am thankful for all the time we do have together.
The road is almost 2 lanes wide if one vehicle rides way over to the shoulder. I like it this way, it has more of a dirt lane feel rather than a road. I know many of you would question whether it was a road at all. Dirt roads are all I have ever know, I was raised on a dirt road and now live on a dirt road and have no plans of becoming a city girl any time soon.
Ah, the country life for me. Thank you for joining me on my mornings walk, it looks like I need to catch up to the pooch.
I am also guest posting today over at Must Love Junk, stop by and see some photo from around my home. You may even learn something about me you didn’t know. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone.
Dawn, I love these photos and how nice of you to take us along.

Claudia
Claudia, thank for stopping by. I changed my walk time now that the kids are back in school and I get that stream of light through the trees every morning. It is beautiful.
Would you mind if I used the last picture for a card for a friend of mine.? She recently lost another dog (two others died within 5 months). When I saw the your picture, I thought it could be her dog “walking off into the sunset”/another world.
Bev sure, would you like me to send it to you by email? I think the photo will be crisper that way.
