Outdoor Fall Decor Ideas
Hi all ๐ It’s officially fall, can you believe it? Over the weekend my walking buddies and our hubbys all took a day trip to Shipshewana Indiana, Amish country, for some good times, good talk, shopping, and Amish cooking. The area was already decorated beautifully and I thought you might get some great outdoor fall decorating ideas.
It’s amazing how a pile of pumpkins and natural elements can make a beautiful scene. The flowers were still blooming in Shipshe, apparently they haven’t gotten a light coating of frost like we have here in Michigan and they have a gardener to maintain it all. The gardener at my place has been shirking her duties for sure.
I just love all the mums and the colorful annuals mixed together. I wish I had a space this large to decorate. I think my favorite part of the decor is the corn stalks tied to the bright white fence, it just appears picture perfect to me.
Wonderful Fall displays. I love oranges, browns and greens all together. I never seem to do much Fall decorating as it seems to be there for such a short time before the cold and wintery weather sets in.
Gorgeous Fall inspiration!
Came over from blogtalk link up. The corn stalks just called out to me. I would love to see the Amish country in the fall. Your pictures just confirmed what I had in my head.

i live it all! Haven’t put my cornstalks up yet, but I always love to see them out front when I do. It is cooler, but not yet cool enough!!!!! XO Kris
I have done absolutely nothing to celebrate fall. Yet! This is stunningly gorgeous! That fence picture has me wanting to just build a fence to get that look! ๐
I know Donna that fence is just the perfect look for fall.
What gorgeous pictures, Dawn!!! I would love to have a fence to create that same look!
Yvonne, that white fence would look perfect at your place. I would need a split rail for my house.
Beautiful ideas! I was out looking for some pumpkins today and picked up some sea grass. Love your ideas!
Danielle, I don’t think I have ever seen see grass. I will have to look for some.

Thank you Suzanne, all our leaves have changed here too. Fall was early and it looks like the colors won’t be as vibrant this year.
Beautiful photos, Dawn! We are in the middle of a move, so I’m busy UNdecorating everything, but I love seeing all the gorgeous fall decorating ideas!
Jeanette, what a huge task….moving. It is always fun to have a new place but the process it exhausting, hope it all goes well for you ๐
I was out and about yesterday and looked for yards decorated for Halloween or fall and didn’t see any.
Carol maybe it’s not popular in your neck of the woods.
Dawn, I love Shipshewana. It’s a great place for inspiration. Christmas there is equally amazing.
Thanks for sharing such lovely fall pictures! Also thanks for the heads up about painting vinyl siding a darker color, Our daughter had just mentioned that she would like to go to a darker color so your article was timely!
Enjoy your Fall!
Oh yes tell het it’s possible and she’ll be so happy with the results. I’d love to see a pic if she goes ahead with it.
Oh my goodness, your yard looks so cute! I love the hay bales. I canโt help but notice your rail fence in the background of these photos. How has your has held up over the years? Iโm having a local contractor install a new fence in my yard in a few weeks, and I’m debating between getting a wood fence or rail fence. Curious to hear your thoughts!
