Paper White Update
I’m back with an update on the growth of the Paper Whites.

Here’s what they looked like the day I planted them, just a tiny bit of green sprouting form the bulbs.
And here’s what they look like on day 10.
I can’t believe how much they have grown. I definitely think they will
be blooming for Christmas.
How are you Paper Whites coming along?
I have always wanted to force bulbs. This looks so pretty. Can’t wait until you post a picture of them blooming.
Oh I wish I had some!!!! They are going to be gorgeous, and smell soooo good!!!

HI Dawn! Oh, my, these little boogers have grown! You just may be helping me to start some paper whites! It’s amazing to me that they don’t need much depth! Hope they bloom for you at Christmas. Thank you so much for popping over to see me and I’m honored you like my tree. On the Deco Mesh I just eye ball it. There’s probably a correct way to do this but I’m always cheating! 🙂

Unfortunately, I didn’t get paperwhites in time for Christmas. Yours are looking great! I’m thinking I should still get some and have them bloom in January when flowers are much needed to brighten the gray days!
I never got to the paper whites dawn but I did pot an amaryllis this past weekend. Thanks so much for following me. It made my otherwise tiresome day much much brighter.

I never did this…and I’m sure I will regret it. I’ll just have to enjoy yours. :o)
I read awhile back, some where that you can add a small amount of either vinegar or alcohol to the water to keep them from getting too tall where you have to stake them. Do yo happen to know which on it would be and how much. Or do you have another method? Thank your for your post for multiple planting in a row. I like that better than all together. Gonna try it.
Tonia, I have never heard of the vinegar or alcohol method. All I know is that they do get tall and want to tip over if you don’t stake them.
