Phlox | Creative Cain CabinIt seems like I’ve had a lot of flower posts lately but I guess that’s what’s happening this time of year. Flowers blooming, bees buzzing, gardens producing, and summer sun.

Phlox | Mason Jar | Porch Sitting | Creative Cain Cabin My mission was to wander around my garden and the guest homes garden and take some photos. I noticed everything blooming right now was pink, so pink became my theme. I guess I never realized how many pink flowers I have. I am now wondering if I gravitate towards that particular color for flowers.

Phlox | Creative Cain CabinThat makes me think I need to add some new colors. I don’t think I have a single flower in white so I will make that my goal when I’m out dividing from friends gardens. The other color I lack in is orange, but I do seem to have a lot of yellow.

Pink Blooms | Creative Cain CabinThese are the pink bloomers that I have right now….cosmos, phlox, coneflower, zinnia, phlox, knockout rose. Now go out and check your garden and tell me if you seem to plant a particular flower color more than any other, I’m curious to hear.

Love all the pink around your home Dawn. So pretty. I seem to have a lot of pink in my garden too. I just think it is a bright and cheerful color and really pops in the summer sun. Have a great Sunday.

Nancy, My gardens are blooming at strange times this year so I haven’t shown the whole thing at one time. It seems like there has been a lot of green this year instead of blossoms. We just had a bad storm go through and I think it may have knocked down all my sunflower plants, and they haven’t even bloomed yet 🙁

Right now my garden is a mix of pink and yellow. Only a little splash of blue left as the last of the delphiniums and larkspur go to seed. Monkshood and the Black Knight butterfly bush are adding a tad of purple. No matter what color, I am enjoying the garden so much. I long for the bright color in the depths of winter snow, but that is why I take so many photos, I can look back in January at them and know that under all that white, cold stuff lying on the ground is a beautiful garden sleeping.

Pamela you have so many that I don’t have. I will have to look into a bigger variety. I can never get a butterfly bush to live here but I would love delphinium and larkspur.

Kris, it is amazing how veggies can look pretty in pics, lol. I need to add more color to the garden if I can fit it into my schedule.

Morning, Dawndie! Oh, I love your pretty pink blooms – especially the cone flower. I used to grow those when I lived in New Mexico. Alas I don’t have a garden at the moment, but soon! 😉 I love your beautiful photography – always.
    Be a sweetie,
    Shelia 😉

Shelia, I had only one lonely coneflower bloom this year. I think they have been choked out by other plants.

Dawn, I love your beautiful photos of your flowers. I just planted some coneflowers in the Cheyenne variety in various colors of orange. I guess I’m attracted more to red and orange flowers, but I have a lot of pink ones planted near my mom’s apartment because pink is her favorite flower color.

Jane I saw the Cheyenne variety this year they are beautiful, just stunning, the color are almost unreal. I would say red is my least favorite flower, I lean more towards what your mom likes.
