Rock Treasure Tower

Making rock and treasure towers with found items that make me happy!

Yes I’m quirky, yes I collect strange things, and yes I get excited with heart shaped rocks. I’ve said it before I’m like a 7-year-old boy when it comes to rocks. I take a walk down our dirt road and stop many times to inspect the shape or color of rocks. By the time I get home my pockets are normally weighted down with a few treasures.

My oldest son knows me well and has aided in my quirky collecting of strange found objects. He has just the right eye for seeing things like I do and dragging them home to me. Everything you see that makes up this tower was found by my son over time and proudly presented to me.

Most of the rocks are heart shaped except the one that’s shaped like a chocolate kiss and the pointed three sides star. He also brings home metal gears and other parts he thinks I’ll like. He says to me mom I found this today and it looks just like something you’d like. I let out a squeal and find a place for it amongst my collection.

Who would think and 50 something woman would become so delighted with such things? I can answer that it’s me! Just this week the clear glass tower toper was added. I happened to spot it in the parking lot of the grocery store. The sun was shining just right and it sparkled like a diamond. I reached down, picked it up, put it up to my eye, looked through it, and smiled like I’d just found a million bucks.

Hubby was waiting for me in the truck and watched the whole thing take place. Lets just say he wasn’t nearly as excited as I was. I showed it to him and his response was yep it’s a marble. I had to laugh, we are certainly opposites and my rock and treasure tower don’t trip his trigger in the least, LOL.
