Rooster Pillow

I am a multitasker and hate to not be productive, I look around and think I shouldn’t sit still I should be doing something. So while chatting the other day on the phone with my friend Claudia from Mockingbirdhillcottage, I got out my rooster and chicken fabric and cut out some pillow covers. I have had the fabric for a while now and every time I pass by it in my office/craft space/dumping ground I say to myself, “Tomorrow I will make those pillow covers.” Well you all  know how that goes, you pass them by a dozen times before you actually dive in and get the project done. It was the perfect time, I talked and worked at the same time.

Rooster and Chicken Fabric

Claudia and I were able to have a nice long talk and my pillow covers were made. I thought they were great fall colors and also matched  my decor colors.  I purchased the fabric to recover a chair in our master bedroom, but decided it would be to busy and I would tire of it quickly, so pillows it became. I change pillows out often, so it’s easier for me to have covers, pillows can pile up if you don’t watch yourself and before you know it you are on pillow overload. I like to buy good quality, down pillow forms and just recycle the covers with the seasons. I like how bright and cheery they are and so glad to have the project checked off my list. I quickly feel Christmas creeping up on me and need to start thinking about my decor for this winter. Does anyone else feel like Christmas is coming way to fast?

Too cute Dawn. I love that you could whip those up while catching up on the phone with a friend. You are a great multitasker for sure.

These are perfect colors and fit right in to your decor. You were right though…I can’t imagine it on a chair! I agree about Christmas coming too fast. I need to get busy!

fYour pillows are so pretty, colorful and cheery! I, too am a multi tasker and feel the say way about not accomplishing anything while sitting still! And yes, Christmas is coming very fast this year, especially since Thanksgiving is so late! We’ve been doing some serious grandkids shopping already so that has helped, and I’m thinking about the outside decorating as well. Hope you have a great day in your neck of the woods! We might get snow here in Mid-East Ohio this week and I suppose that you might, too!

Susan, we are supposed to get snow today. I haven’t even thought about Christmas decorating yet. I guess that will be next on my list of things to do.

Even though I am rushing to get to work on time when I saw Rooster and Chicken pillows pop up in my email I had to click over to read!
I, too, cannot just sit and chat or watch t.v. without my hands being busy. Love headsets for phones since it frees up both hands and prevents that crick in the neck. 🙂
Love the pillows! So bright and cheery. I am currently working on a crochet table runner, that is keeping my hands busy while watching a bit of t.v. in the evening. It is not once of those quick projects but I am already loving it.

ha ha ha there is NO WAY I could talk on the phone and sew at the same time. I can fully concentrate on sewing and still make mistakes so my hat is off to you there! : )

Deb, I guess I couldn’t mess up a simple square, so I gave it a whirl and they look great.
