Rustic Fall Decorating Ideas Using Natural Elements, Apples, Leaves, Twigs, and BerriesWhen I think of early fall in Michigan apples and sunflowers always come to mind, and it just so happens the apples are falling from the trees early this year and I timed the planting of my sunflower seeds at just the right time to decorate with and today I’m going to share with you a simple way to get a natural look using apples.

Rustic Farmhouse Fall Decorating Ideas Using Apples, Leaves, Twigs, and BerriesWhy not make an edible table arrangement! So easy, inexpensive, and quick to create. I used a grain sack runner, a bunch of apples, fresh tree branches, and candles. It couldn’t have been easier and takes absolutely no talent to get the look right, and that’s what I love about it.

I just pulled up the orchards apple picking schedule for this year and it looks like September 23rd will be the last picking day for the year. I’ll take the cool weather over hot weather any day, but it is making me amp up my game when it comes to getting things wrapped up outside for the season.

  1. Love it!! What a beautiful centerpiece. I have my apples in a crystal bowl and that’s it. I hear you about the cool weather over the heat. My stepson Is up here visiting from Texas and he’s loving the cooler weather

  2. Love your fall decorating. Especially all the green branches and the apples. It is by far one of the most natural and uncluttered looks I have seen in a long time and fits September perfectly. Our weather is about the same as yours (Pittsburgh) and like you we are trying to finish outside stuff. It’s too soon!

Weather seems to be the current topic and I can understand why. When I was whining about the 109 temp today, I stopped myself short while I was watching the news about another hurricane, I’m thankful my house is in one piece! Your apple centerpiece is beautiful way to welcome Autumn:).
