Signs of Fall

It has already frosted heavily here so Fall is on her way.
The crab apples are on the trees.
 There’s field after field of Golden Rod in bloom.
 Queen Ann’s Lace is mixed in with the Golden Rod.
…and the leaves are starting to change.

    “dawg fennel”(I’m gonna have to google the dawg fennel,and see why we call that),have you all heard of this?I’ll get back to ya on it.
    The ole sayin’ round here is when the dawg fennel blooms it will be six weeks till frost,I was noticing it want be long.

  3. Beautiful photos! I haven’t seen Queen Anne’s Lace in like forever. It brings back memories of when I used to make place jewelry out of them when I was very young. Would you like a few degrees of our temps, since we are still hovering in the triple digits? LOL!
