Style a Kitchen Tray with Edibles

How to Style a Kitchen Tray with Edibles | CreativeCainCabin.comI wanted to show you today how you can stylishly display your non refrigerated edible fruit and vegetables in your kitchen. Just because you leave them out doesn’t mean they have to be unattractive or just look like a pile of groceries on you counter that you never put away.

How to Style a Kitchen Tray with Edibles | CreativeCainCabin.comHere’s what I did, I started by adding a very large turquoise tray that I found on the clearance rack at HL, and layered it with vintage pyrex dishes, melamine plates, and a coffee mug filled with fresh cut herbs.

How to Style a Kitchen Tray with Edibles | CreativeCainCabin.comI visit the store at least 3 times a week for fresh produce and I find if I can display it in a beautiful edible arrangement my family will snack on apples, and cherry tomatoes rather than grab a handful of chips. It’s my sneaky way of adding more good things into their diet.

How to Style a Kitchen Tray with Edibles | CreativeCainCabin.comIt’s amazing how pretty fresh produce can be, it makes for a splash of dashing color on my kitchen island. Do you have any tricks you use to incorporate more fruit and veggies into your family’s diet?

  3. This is so beautiful. I have the same yellow Pyrex bowl. It belonged to my mom. I have apples, clementines and bananas out all the time on a tiered galvanized tray. Like you, I discovered they get eaten when they are easily accessible. I love the idea of the fresh herbs out too.

I think the chef would complain if he had to go into the dining room to get food for his preparation. But, I can do a similar display in the kitchen.
