Talk Till Dawn – 9
I’m excited to share with you a new series I’m starting called, “Talk Till Dawn”, I want this to be about my everyday life, the things I’m reading, eating, my everyday ups and down, along with photos that I’ve taken over the week.
I haven’t decided yet how often this will be, right now I’m just going to get it going and see what comes of it. I encourage you to share with me similar situations and we can all support one another.
My life and home is far from perfect even though I always share with you pretty home decor picture. Now from time to time I’ll give you a look at how things can get out of control like everyone else’s life.
Wow what a month…I’ve been very busy at work, I’m also wrapping up the yard work for the year, pulling up the tomato plants, and getting my lime and lemon tree in for the winter. But the hardest part of my day starts when I wake in the morning with worry over how my mom is doing. I now I don’t normally share things like this on my blog, but if you are a praying person my mama could use all the prayer you have. Back in January she was hospitalized for a month with pneumonia, no one thought much of it but it took her almost 5 months to recover. At the 6 month point she came to Michigan and stayed at the cabin for a month, she did really well without any health problems so we assumed all was well.
Not the case, she needs more testing but has lung disease and is now on oxygen. She was never a smoker, she did have breast cancer and was exposed to radiation but other than that there seems to be no explanation for why she’s so sick so quickly. I’ve done all I can do from here so I’m heading to Florida where hopefully she’ll be able to make the trip to Cleveland Clinic for further testing. I know everyone has some loved one in there lives who experiences terrible health problems but if you could say a prayer when you think of me and her I would be grateful.
Do you remember in the last episode I showed you the look I’m going for in growing out my hair? Well I almost caved and cut it all off again. The only reason I didn’t was because it took me a couple of weeks to squeeze a hair appointment into my schedule and by then is was cooperating again and I was able to do new things with it. So I’m back to liking it temporarily. I have such thick hair that mine gets big before it get’s long and it’s in it’s big stage now. I ended up having it highlighted and turned gray again so that will hold me over for another month I hope. I’m not sure why I get the brilliant idea to grow my hair out from time to time but I do, I complain the whole time, I keep it longer for a while, and then I come to my scenes and cut it short again. LOL (I really don’t look good in long hair)
I had to share with you this super cute idea. For those of you who don’t know about Michigan’s road conditions I’ll give you the Readers Digest version. Dirt roads are smoother and in better condition than highways, I get sea sick riding because of all the ups and downs in the roads, and the pot holes make up the biggest portion of our roads. That being said people are coming up with the cutest ideas for marking potholes. Some add dirt to the holes and plant flowers but this one was the best idea yet. After it rains add rubber ducks to the pothole. Isn’t this the most adorable idea? So darn cute I had to get out my camera and snap a pic. (It doesn’t take much to impress me sometimes, lol)
Twining was happening this week at work. Me and my girl Beth decided to rock out the camo bibs this week and be twins. I laughed when she thought of it, I told here we’ll tell people I was born first, and 30 years earlier because no one will ever believe we’re twins. We laughed all day about it and had the best time. It was a great way to take my mind off things for a day, that’s for sure.
The last good news of the month is my oldest son got engaged on Saturday. That’s the son who’s doing the barn/home conversion right now. I have a lot of good things to look forward now, and that seems nice. We just love his fiance’ and wouldn’t have picked anyone better if I’d chose someone myself. Their plan is to finish the house and then get married. They’re both very busy and doing the house and a wedding at the same time would be to much on their plate. Of course my wheels are already turning with wedding ideas, but I’m going to have to hold back and remind myself, it’s not about me. LOL
Until next time take care and thank you for spending the time talking till dawn with me today!
Dawn, being worried about a love one is hard especially when it is out of your hands. I will say a prayer for your momma. You made me chuckle with your cameo outfits. Have a great week !

It’s so hard to have faith when it’s someone in your family. That’s why we ask other stuff to help us pray. I will certainly say a prayer for your Mom. God can heal and He is faithful. Also praying for peace for you.
You are adorable! Prayers for your Mom and blessings to your son
Life is a handful! You & Mom are beautiful. Cleveland Clinic is great. Hope she improves quickly. Congratulations on your son’s engagement & your new daughter!
