This is the time of year when we all start to make new commitments and the number one commitment for women is to lose weight. So I thought I’d pass on to you an essential oil capsule that I make for helping to control my appetite and shed a few pounds along the way.

Why is it weight loss is such a big ordeal? No matter how hard I work I’m never going to be a skinny minnie. I’m 5’7″ and wear a size 12 clothing, and at that size the industry considers me a plus size girl. Just the sound of that makes me think FAT, but what can I say I am what I am. 

If you have essential oils at home and enjoy using them I recommend making up a few of these to try and see if they work for you.

Ingredients
  1. 1 - Empty Vegan Gel Capsule, Size "00"
  2. 2 - Drops Lemon Oil
  3. 2 - Drops Lime Oil
  4. 2 - Drops Grapefruit Oil
  5. 2 - Drops Peppermint Oil
  6. 2 - Drops Cinnamon Bark Oil
  7. 2 - Drops Tangerine Oil
  8. Fill Remaining Capsule With Carrier Oil - Fractionated Coconut Oil
Instructions
  1. Add essential oil to capsule and top off with fractionated coconut oil. 2 capsules to control appetite when feeling hungry or twice a day for weight loss. Drink a full glass of water along with the capsules.
Notes
  1. If you already have gel caps in a different size just use those and If you can't fit all the contents into one capsule split it into two or how ever many you need to mix up a dose. I tend to take mine between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner when I'm feeling hungry. If you don't have fractionated coconut oil, just melt regular coconut oil and add to the capsule instead. If they seem to bother your stomach remove the Cinnamon Bark from the recipe.

  1. This is interesting…and I’m going to try it. Do you think it would be OK to just put the drops of essential oil into a bottle of water and skip the capsule?

    1. No I think you need the capsule or the peppermint and cinnamon will burn going down too much. I’ve never heard of it being used in just water.

  2. OMG! I’m 5’6 and have worn a 12 for years. Unbeliveable that the trade considers it a plus size, esp. when I so many people here in my (notorious for obesity) state are so huge they take up two chairs in a restaurant and eat more salad dressing than salad.

    We are not plus size, no matter what those oafs think!

    Would I be out of line to suggest that for beginners in the essential oil dept. it might be wise to remind readers to be sure to use Edible oils?

    1. MJ, I’m cracking up at your salad dressing comment. I see that all the time too, but ya know they think that’s healthy eating just because theres some salad in the pile somewhere. BTW I added a link to which EO can be consumed, thank for pointing that out:)

  3. When did a size 12 become a plus size? News to me. What’s wonky is the fashion industry. I don’t need to look at a malnourished coat hanger model in size 00 for my style. They can’t work a day in a regular woman’s life.

    1. Debbie oh ya a 12 is considered a fat girl now. 🙁 I’ve been a size zero before and I remember always being so cold even when it was 90 out.

  4. I love this recipe, however, I’m confused about how many capsules to take daily. Is it two between breakfast and lunch or one in the morning then one in the evening for a total of two daily or four daily?

    1. Kellie two capsules before every meal up to 6 per day.
