There’s nothing better than mother nature providing wildflowers all summer long. I love fresh blooms in the house but hate to pay for them. So I just
walk outside my door into the field and cut whatever is blooming at the time.
If I ever get a change to sit down (which is rare) you will find me here in
my white slipcovered chair, beside my vase of wildflowers, working on my ipad.
The only thing that I purchased new was the chair.
The vintage sheet was turned into a pillow slip. I found the child’s desk at a garage sale for $5. The flower vase are two tin cans covered in scrapbook paper. An old sap bucket is used to hold magazines. The lamp was purchased at home improvement store and I made the burlap shade.
The purple lacy flowers are wild lavender bee balm. They have a faint scent of licorice and I love black licorice. I know most people like the red but I am like my Mom and my Grama we like the black. Must be a family thing….
Before I know it the wildflowers will be gone, the white slipcovers will
be swapped for denim and the summer will be over.
I’m off to enjoy some time in my chair.
