Christmas on the Side Porch

Here’s a little Christmas cheer on the side entrance porch.

We have 3 decks on our home and this is the entrance we commoners use.  I am always surprised to hear someone knock at the front door, no one uses that door unless they are company.

The tree is from Menards and the twin to the one on the front porch, again I dressed it up with some ribbon and a few paper snowflakes.  The apple crate is weighted with brick pavers to keep it from blowing over.   The rocking chair I purchased about 20 years ago at a garage sale that some college kids were having.

I used my Silhouette machine to cut out the paper snowflakes.  If you ever have a chance to get a Silhouette you will be surprised at all it can do.

The old laundry cart came from a thrift store, and I just love it.  I can’t wait to use it in other places.
I loaded it with pine branches, red twigs, pinecones, and a few ornaments.

The kids library chair I have had forever.

The large glass jar is filled with fresh cranberries and topped with a few candles and then I added a ribbon to dress it all up.

The rug is from World Market and the pillows from Pier One.

Pinecones are must for Christmas decorating.

Thanks for stopping by.

I love that red and white rug that grounds all your decorations! And nothing is prettier than those candles and cranberries in the glass container. I’d rather be a side porch friend, too.

Love it all! Thanks for sharing with us! I love seeing the little “peeks” of snow in the background, that combined with the sunny day really make the photos pop….

Everything looks beautiful, Dawn! I just love how easy it is to create a festive look with glass & candles, then add some pinecones & the scene is set.

I hope you and your family have an awesome and very Merry Christmas, sweet friend.
    xoxo, Carol
