IT’S TIME FOR A QUICK FALL TOUR AROUND THE CABIN’S LIVING ROOM. I ADDED A FEW PUMPKINS AND A CENTERPIECE TO THE COFFEE TABLE AND CALLED IT A DAY. KEEPING IT SIMPLE THIS YEAR AND I’M LIKING IT EQUALLY AS WELL AS THE YEARS I’VE WENT ALL OUT!

Rustic Farmhouse Charm Can Be Found In This Log Cabin. Fall Decorating Using Natural Elements and Keeping It Simple With Pumpkins

Sit back, put your feet up, and grab a pumpkin spice something while you take the fall tour of our cabins living room. Two throw pillows, a few pumpkins, and coffee table centerpiece is all it consists of. I intended on making new throw pillow covers for fall this year but when I went to the fabric store and found nothing like I was looking for I seen that as a sign and dug out the only two throw pillows I have left in fall colors. I added them to the sofa and chair, stood back, and decided it would work. The colors all came together with the pumpkins I had in my stash and I’m quite enjoying the simplicity of it all.

I’ve seen several bloggers with over the top decor that I just swoon over but it just doesn’t feel right in our home, so what you see is what you get with me. I love how fall doesn’t have to be about traditional fall colors anymore. So many people are stepping outside the box and creating beautiful fall home with all kinds of color. I did keep the pop of green on the sofa pillow (to match the kitchen island) I guess that’s my non traditional fall color for this year.

Fall Living Room Tour of a Rustic Log HomeI’m happy to announce fall temps have officially arrived here in Michigan. Today I’m wearing a flannel shirt (jumping for joy here). Fall is a favorite season of mine, I love to layer clothes, wear scarfs, and best of all add a pair of Hunter boots to my feet. I think tonight I’ll light up the fire pit and enjoy the crisp evening air. Thank you for stopping in today, I’ll be back next to share our fire pit entrance all decorated for fall.

Looks great Dawn! Love the rug..is it navy or black? I’m looking for a black/cream rug for my family room. Can you tell me where you found this one?

Simple is always a good thing – and so much easier to store after the season passes. I’ve donated so much of my specific holiday decor, and while I thought I’d miss it ….. I haven’t. Plus I gained a much neater storage space.

I’m with you dawn on making any seasonal decorating simple! As I get older it seams like simplest is the best. One of the first things I want to do is go through all the stuff I have and really pair down. This coming weekend my girls are going to help me put up my fall decorations.I’m thankful for their help!
