Decorating A Fall Cabin Kitchen With Pumpkins
I’M KEEPING IT SIMPLE THIS YEAR WITH MY FALL DECORATING IN THE KITCHEN. THE ONLY THING I SCATTERED ABOUT WERE PUMPKINS. IT MAKES IT FEEL LIKE FALL WITHOUT BEING OVERDONE!
I had a much needed day off from work today, so I got right on giving the cabins kitchen a touch of fall. My moms having some health trouble right now so it was nice to take day for myself and do something I enjoy, rather than think about medical things.
I’m keeping it simple this year so the only thing I added was a crate of pumpkins to the island and a few others scattered about. For me simple is what’s working! So simple in fact I noticed after I snapped the pics I still have a vintage pyrex dish drying on the counter.
I have my moms pyrex from back in the day still and I use something from the collection on most days. I was stunned when she moved to Florida and didn’t take it with her. She used to live in our guest house and she left it all behind. Score for me, it’s now in my collection. She had the vintage gold, greens, and browns so they work perfectly for fall.
If you’d like to know how to make any easy DIY dollar store pumpkin like you see here I have a tutorial on how to do that here. I certainly wasn’t overwhelmed with my decorating this year. I think by keeping it natural and simple it made for an enjoyable day.
I’ll be back next to share with you the living room decorated for fall. I hope you have a good day and I thank you all for your support and wonderful comments.
Thanks for this post. I realize how cheerful your pictures make me feel!
Beautiful! Love all the colors and how well they work with each other. And most importantly it is just enough. Looks like fall yet you can still breathe. So relaxing and peaceful.
Having you mommaโs Pyrex is priceless . I hope you are continuing to take time for yourself .๐
Kathy, I still use the Pyrex most weeks too. I hope to pass some on to my DIL to be.
I love how you have paired color with the wood interior. This is exactly what I was looking for. Would you be able to tell me the name and brand of the green paint on the back of your island? I love it!
