Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I’ve been inspired by the love of my own Mom to create this Lilac Artwork. Lilacs are a favorite of hers and she never returns to Michigan in time to see them bloom, or smell their heavenly scent.

She spends her winters in the south and the weather hasn’t warmed up here in the north yet to her liking so she misses them every year. She used to live in Michigan full time and have the pleasure of enjoying them but not now.

Oh how so very beautiful Dawn!…I so wish we could have lilacs grow here!….Such a tribute to your lovely mom. My mom is in Florida too and she will not come up here when it is cold either!
Shirley, they don’t last long here but they’re so worth it. My Mom will be back in June, she’s making sure it’s nice before she comes.
I love lilacs Dawn and really enjoy them when they bloom in the garden. Thanks so much for the notecard pdf, I’m going to print some out later today. With modern technology I don’t thing we use note cards or letters much anymore, which is a shame as they have such a person, “I’m thinking of you” touch.

Linda, I think certain generations still use them but you’re right I sure don’t, I don’t have the time, it’s faster and easier to text.
