Chocolate Marshmallow Peppermint Stir Sticks For Hot Chocolate I like to give my friends something crafty that I’ve made myself as Christmas gifts. I learned long ago I don’t have to spend a lot of money, they’re just as happy to get a small handmade gift every year. This year I decided to make Chocolate Marshmallow Peppermint Stir Stick for Hot Cocoa.

I picked up some hand painted Christmas mugs from a local artist, made up a batch of my low calorie Hot Chocolate (recipe below), and spent a snowy afternoon making stir sticks. It’s just enough to let my friends know that I love them and am thinking about them over Christmas. This makes for a great hostess gift or teachers gift too.

If you can’t find stir sticks you can use a plastic spoon, wooden skewer, or popsicle stick. I found the ones I used at Home Goods, they have the word JOY printed on the end of each one.

Watch the slideshow below to see how it’s done!

Oooooo…love them!! Sure makes me wish I had a Home Goods store near me so that I could get some of those Joy stir sticks – they add just the right touch. I’m sure all of your friends will cherish your thoughtfully put together gift, Dawn.

Jen I just stumbled upon the sticks, and I’m glad I did. I’m dropping off some of the gifts tomorrow.

Got some of these too Dawn. They are so delish especially on these really cold days.

I really want some of those Joy sticks now that I’ve seen yours! This is such a cute idea, Dawn. I hope I find a substitute stick so I can make some of these while the grandgirls are here for Christmas!

Jane the Grandkids would love making these. It’s so fast and easy too! I bet you’ll find the sticks at any craft store, I just happened to be at HG and spotted them.
