Easy Kitchen Window Christmas Garland

Easy Kitchen Window Christmas Garland | CreativeCainCabin.comI had a few spare minutes Friday morning so I decided to head to the basement and grab my 3 favorite artificial pine trees. I purchased them at Michaels years ago and they’re still a favorite for me at Christmas time. They’re also an easy way to decorate, they came with the burlap sacks around the bottom so all I do every year is add ribbon around them to match the color theme I am using that year. This year I am using turquoise, rust, chocolate brown, and blush (you can see the tree done in those colors here.) The only other thing I did was add ribbon to a few blush colored ornaments and tied them to the curtain rod. I decided to keep with the rustic, natural element theme I was going with this year and opted for no additional trinkets on the trees.

I also kept my favorite rock on the window sill, for some reason I have a thing for rocks and drag home a few good ones every year.

I love them for decorating purposes.

    1. Kathleen, I think those trees are very popular right now. This is the first year I tried the ornaments on the rod, I was looking for a fast decor idea and it fit the bill.

    1. Suzan I think those trees are very popular this year, and I bet Ikeas price was much better than what I spent.

  6. I add a few things to the kitchen, a little fabric tree garland to the window, some hanging snowmen decorations, and Christmas towels and table runners. I’ve added hanging ornaments for years to various windows in the house, in fact I still have some older ones packed away with tinsel to hang them. The more recent ones have silver or gold ribbon. I have one little tree like yours and this year it is in with my village

    1. Linda, I need to get some Christmas towels. Maybe I can make some in the colors I am using this year.
