Get Hitched in the Barn
I had to show you all this beautiful barn that my niece was married in this weekend.
Framing the path to the entry door was vintage blue
canning jars with baby’s breath.
To the right of the path there were raised garden beds.
Growing amongst the veggies and herbs were a few
flowers still in bloom.
Even the metal troughs were planted with flowers.
Each side of the entry gate had mums in galvanized buckets.
Along with an old sleigh bench.
Upon entering the barn you were greeted with this sign, directing
you sit whatever you wanted.
Next you passed a basket filled with vintage hankies to dry
your tears of joy.
The window sills of the barn were decorated with more vintage mason jars
and wild flowers.
And here is what the barn looks like on the inside.
It has amazing barn beams and an acid stained concrete floor.
Look how high those ceilings are.
What a unique place for a wedding!
I bet that wedding was beautiful in such a great place as that.
What a beautiful, beautiful wedding. The vintage hankies were a darling touch.
Beautiful! I always wanted an Autumn wedding, but alas, I was a June bride.
Dawn thanks for sharing your beautiful photo’s of the wedding,I really enjoyed. This was so much fun for the wedding in that awesome barn. The ideas were perfect setting.
The apple doesn’t fall far, indeed.
What a lovely and creative family you are… the details are just too lovely and I feel honored that you shared it with us.
Somehow their idea reminded me this quote about Love:
“โLove is the thing that enables a woman to sing while she mops up the floor after her husband has walked across it in his barn boots.โ”
May they Live Long, Happy and Blessed with the same beauty they put in these charming details.
My ideal wedding!! Beautiful!!!
Your Fall is gorgeous!!!!

It’s obvious a lot of thought went into your nieces wedding.
I love the rustic theme that was used. And that barn-Wowsa!
What gorgeous details! Makes me want to get married again so I could plan a farm-style wedding. ๐ Love your new header–it’s so sweet!
Wow! I love all of the natural beauty. Great ideas! I wanted to pin this, but I couldn’t ๐

This is utterly charming Dawn. The little details, like the hankies, are so well thought out.
Lovely, and lots of cute details.
Hi Dawn! This takes me down memory lane. Exactly a year ago yesterday my daughter got married on a farm. The ceremony was outside and the reception was inside the barn. The loft of the barn was the dance floor. It was a wonderful wedding … just like this one you shared. I love barn weddings!
What a wonderful place to have a wedding! I love the canning jars filled with flowers.

Oh my gosh. How very cool. We were just at a wedding that was on a dock right on Tampa Bay. Totally different but both great venues!
Waht a beautiful barn to have a wedding in!!

That is one beautiful barn. I photograph weddings and would love to do some in a barn like that.
