Painted Kitchen Cupboards
WHITE PAINTED KITCHEN CABINETS IN A CLASSIC COLOR THAT NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE. WHITE MAKES A KITCHEN FEEL CLEAN AND FRESH, AND A WONDERFUL SPACE TO WORK IN!
So if you missed my last post you may want to go back and read that but if you already have you know I just gave our kitchen cabinets a fresh coat of paint and Iโm back to share the reveal.
For a girl who hates to paint it sure seems like I do a lot of it. I spent this week painting all our exterior doors a new color. I really wish sometimes that my mind wouldnโt come up with all these brilliant ideas, as I like to call them (and Iโm sure my hubby feels the same.)
Thereโs no big color change, actually thereโs no color change at all, but it does have the fresh clean look again that I like. You can only wipe them down so much and eventually a little paint is what they need. Iโve found doing it ever other year is exactly whatโs needed to keep up them always looking nice.
Any who it sure is nice to walk into the kitchen, look around, and admire what a fresh coat of paint can do. Iโm pretty sure no one else in our house noticed or even cared but I know and it was nice to tick that off my to-do-list. When ya live with all men they just donโt seem to care about those things.
Did you happen to notice all the mud on the floor by the island? A few of our employees came in for lunch with muddy boots on and I decided I wasnโt going to mop before snapping the pictures so you get to see real life at the cabin, muddy floors and all. Itโs just one of the reasons we picked wood floors we didnโt want to have people take off there shoes.
We wanted to live in our home not feel like a guest that had to be on our best behavior. Hence we have a lot of muddy floors, and coats thrown over the chairs type of home. The OCD in me sometimes comes unglued and has a melt down but for the most part I have to just let it go and quit trying to control it.
Thanks for coming back today to have a look around. Iโll be back soon to show you those doors Iโve been painting and to show you a new color Iโve added to the cabins dรฉcor.
Very beautiful! Love the shine on the brilliant white.
Thanks Jan ๐ I’m so happy with the results and also glad that it’s over.
Pretty sure I’m not OCD, or I’m OCD-lowkey! We have 4 dogs, had 5 til 2 summers ago (crying face emoji), and 3 (now 2) are Irish Wolfhounds. The other 2 are not Giant Breed dogs, but ‘dogs’ nonetheless! Our region in the Midwest has had rain, snow, ice, more rain—including tonight, accompanied by high winds during the latest monsoon—since last year, so you can imagine the wet muddy paws we deal with on basically a minute-to-minute basis, not to mention the wet hair and fur!! I do the best I can, with tons of towels bought at thrift stores, on the floors, as ‘champ towel’ drapes on the Wolfhounds. I gave up trying to mop up after them….that’s all I’d be doing, all day!
Lisa, our Shepard died last July so I no longer have to mop and vacuum every day, but when she was alive it was a constant battle so I feel ya.
I love your kitchen. My husband and I painted our cabinets soon after we moved in a year ago and they make all the difference in the way the kitchen looks. Do you mind if I ask where you got your runner?
Blessings,
Angie
Angie, I have a little trick for my rug runners. I purchase 3 or 4 small rugs and use duct tape on the back side to keep them all together. This ones from Menards.
I love your white cabinets and the natural wood door looks wonderful too.
