Patriotic Chicken Coop and Garden Cart
I‘VE ADDED A PATRIOTIC FEEL TO THE CHICKEN COOP AND GARDEN CART IN PREPARING FOR THE 4TH OF JULY!
In honor of Independence Day the chicken coop and that $4 garden cart is all decked it with American Flags. If you follow me on Instagram you’ve seen the blue cart hubby and I picked up while out treasure hunting. That maple tree is in the middle of our circle drive provides a lot of shade for whatever I plant in the cart which means less watering.
This year by the time I got around to adding flowers most everyting was sold out. A fern on clearance and whatever flowers I could find in white is what I went with. It’s not really what I would have picked up but it works to carry me through this year and next year I’ll have a better plan.
The flag hanging on the side of the chicken coop is one I picked up at Harbor Freight to hang from our flag pole on the front porch but I didn’t realize it only had grommets instead of a rod pocket for the flag. That’s okay it worked perfectly from the side of the coop. I used these handy vinyl siding hooks to hang the flag and they worked perfectly.
There’s one more batch of chickens to be butchered on the 14th and then I can get started with the facelift of the coop. I can’t wait for that transformation to happen.
Have a wonderful 4th of July, and post in the comments what you’ll be doing. I love to stay in touch and keep up on everyones happenings.
That cart is just so cool! Seriously, I love it. Going to a picnic at my daughterโs in-laws. Always a good time except for the weather which will be hot, humid, and rainy. Typical Pittsburgh weather. You have a wonderful 4th of July too.
Barb, I’m so over all the humidity. It finally broke today and I feel free again, no more windows closed with the air running.
