Rustic Fall Coffee Table Centerpiece
CREATE A LATE FALL CENTERPIECE USING THINGS FROM NATURE. WHEN YOU’VE TAKEN DOWN THE PUMPKINS FROM HALLOWEEN BUT NEED A TOUCH OF FALL IN THE HOUSE BEFORE IT’S TIME TO TRANSITION TO CHRISTMAS DECOR, THIS IS SOMETHING SIMPLE TO PUT TOGETHER IN UNDER 5 MINUTES.
It seems like forever since I’ve shared the inside of our home with you. With all the outdoor construction stuff going on photographing the inside has been overlooked, even though I have had it decorate for fall for quite some time.
Now that the Halloween things are gone I wanted to share with you a simple rustic coffee table centerpiece with things found in nature. It’s the perfect amount of fall on a platter and will work through Thanksgiving, where the day after will be filled with Christmas decorating.
I purchased the wooden tray at our hospice store for $1 a few years back. I had no idea what I’d do with it but it sure seems to show up in my decor over and over again always being used in a different way, so for a buck it was a fantastic buy.
Next I layers faux garland on the tray, two birch wood stumps that I cut with my miter saw, deer antlers from my boys deer kills, pinecones from around our property, a copper acorn from the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby two years ago, and a couple of candles.
It took me less than 5 minutes to put together and I think it works quite nicely with the pillow choice on the sofa right now. My decor has evolved over the years and natural and simple seem to be what I like best and by the way it’s easy too.
Hi Dawn – the display is lovely and especially with the varied height with the glass container. Is it carnival glass? Happy Day! Jan
Jan, no the acorn is from Hobby Lobby and it just looks like copper even though it’s glass.
Dawn..it looks great!! I love your floors..They are beautiful!!
Jeanie our floors are cheap tongue and groove pine. Our home is 3600 sft and we did all the floors in this wood for $1100. We had them custom cut in wide plank. They are simple but functional.
Thank you so much for sharing the post Dawn. After you showed it in your instagram shots I was hoping for more about it. Its so simple yet elegant. You have an amazing eye for dรฉcor.
Thanks Amanda I did a few quick shots after you requested it. Thanks for getting my butt in gear!
I keep coming back to look at that copper acorn. What a great find! Wooden trays are so great. I love them in round and also rectangular and always find something to use them for throughout the year. Great and eye catching center piece you have.
Thanks Diane, the acorn is from Hobby Lobby and they may have them again this year.
Very nicely done, Dawn! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you Susan ๐
It’s a beautiful centerpiece Dawn!!! Have a great week!
Thanks Shirley, I’m watching your Christmas decorating on FB, it’s stunning.
Your centre piece is wonderful. Simple & natural is what I also strive for . You pulled it together beautifully.
Wish we had a Hobby Lobby, what a deal !
Cheryl I’ve heard rumors that HL is going out of business. I sure hope not!
